We met Mike through Zillow when we requested to view a property. We had negative previous experiences with another agent so luck was on our side when our paths crossed with Mike. He treated us with respect and listened to what we wanted through the entire process. Hands down, my husband and I could not ask for a better person to work with, particularly as first-time home buyers with very limited exposure to the process. Details: Mike is exceptionally well informed with regards to, among other things, a) home condition/quality, b) the past and present regional and overall market, neighborhood character and schools, and building groups and practices, and c) how to enable us to better evaluate our position on a potential home. His network of people and ability to stay informed of recent or new groups to pay attention to is irreplaceable. He is able to analyze and adjust accordingly to both our communicated needs and wants in addition to the underlying ones that even we were less cognizant or admitting of, which was a huge boon in being able to land ourselves in the best possible situation in one of the worst market conditions for buying a home. His communication is phenomenal, being timely, informative, and thorough. In particular, I am incredibly grateful to have been directed to a new construction when we signed in early 2022 – at that time and the search process in the months prior, the common-place waived contingencies and brutal bidding wars meant we were at a huge disadvantage, and by identifying our position relative to the competition, risks, and cost effectiveness for what we would get vs what we wanted, Mike was able to direct us to something that meant we came out of the process financially stable, minimal risk, and highly satisfied.

Mike Gold has been phenomenal. We’ve never known anyone who would go so far beyond his official job capacity to make sure absolutely everything has been taken care of to our satisfaction. We were searching for a home while living thousands of miles away. After giving him our parameters, Mike went about finding homes that would meet both our needs and our wants. Almost immediately, he “got us,” knowing what we might be interested in and what would not work for us. He talked us out of one home, realizing it was too expensive for us, and enumerated his thinking point by point as to why the house was not the right one. After we did find the right home, Mike helped us with the negotiations, procuring a price lower than we thought would work. With the contract signed, he then arranged the inspections for us and followed up by finding people who could make sure all of the details were fixed. In short, Mike took every one of our concerns personally and made sure each was rectified. We rented from Mike, sight-unseen. He was very patient and reassuring when I needed it (which was a lot!). He advertised the property accurately and was there for us even after we moved in. As a property manager, I could tell and I appreciate how well he navigated through being intermediary between us and the owner - with grace. I would definitely rent from Mike again. Mike showed us a lot of homes over a month of time as we re-located to the area. He had great knowledge of the area and was able to shows homes in multiple settings until we could really narrow down what we really wanted in the area. He did a great job of showing us homes in our budget but also showed us a couple early that had everything we wanted but was out of our budget so we knew the difference in levels. We were never pressured into those but they were used for reference to help us manage expectations. Mike went above and beyond as he helped with appointments when we were out of state and unable to attend during the relocation process.
